Transportation Dispatcher – Afternoon/Evening Shift

Position Overview
TeamOne Logistics is seeking an experienced Transportation Dispatcher to join our team in Olive Branch, Mississippi. This position is responsible for supporting the facility’s transportation and shipping operations, coordinating freight, monitoring shipments, and ensuring customer and operational requirements are met.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and coordinate loads with carriers and drivers.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely movement and delivery.
- Coordinate routing and transportation activities.
- Enter and maintain accurate information in transportation and company systems.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute scheduled and ad hoc reports.
- Monitor daily transportation operations and identify potential issues.
- Ensure internal freight needs and customer requirements are consistently met.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other transportation reporting applications to analyze data.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, management, and other departments.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, productivity, professionalism, and customer service.
- Perform additional transportation and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience required.
- Associate degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working with transportation management, reporting, or logistics software preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to be assertive and persistent while maintaining professionalism and tact.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed performance expectations.
- Professional communication, appearance, and demeanor.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday/Sunday: Must be flexible to provide backup coverage as needed.
Please Note: During peak shipping periods, particularly October through December, schedules may be adjusted based on customer shipping requirements. Training hours may also differ from the regular schedule.
Compensation
$23.00 per hour + overtime
