Supply Chain Specialist Jobs in Phoenix, AZ at CBC Group Inc

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end supply chain by coordinating purchasing, inventory management, supplier relationships, production tracking, logistics, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a critical role in ensuring products are sourced, manufactured, and delivered on time while maintaining quality standards, cost objectives, and inventory targets.

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Create, review, and manage purchase orders within the ERP system.
  • Ensure purchase orders align with pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, and supplier agreements.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate order confirmations and track orders from placement through delivery.

Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for routine supplier communications.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, lead times, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Support supplier onboarding and assist with issue resolution and corrective action plans.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and replenishment needs.
  • Partner with Demand Planning to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Review inventory aging and recommend strategies to improve inventory performance.
  • Support inventory forecasting, safety stock planning, and SKU rationalization initiatives.

Production & Logistics

  • Track production schedules with domestic and overseas manufacturers.
  • Monitor key production milestones from raw material availability through shipment readiness.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers.
  • Verify import/export documentation and assist in resolving shipping or customs issues.

ERP & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate supplier, item, and purchasing data.
  • Update lead times, costs, vendor information, and purchasing records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate ERP transactions.
  • Support ERP enhancements, testing, and process improvements.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare reports on purchasing, supplier performance, inventory health, fill rates, backorders, and other key supply chain metrics.
  • Analyze trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support KPI reporting for Supply Chain leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Development, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance teams.
  • Communicate supply chain risks and recommend solutions.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating supplier readiness and inventory availability.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support automation initiatives and ERP optimization projects.

What We Are Looking For Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, procurement, inventory management, logistics, or operations.
  • Experience within consumer goods, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, home décor, furniture, giftware, or similar industries preferred.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers, particularly in Asia, is highly desirable.
  • Import/export and ocean freight experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with inventory planning systems and supply chain reporting tools.
  • Basic understanding of forecasting methodologies.
