About The Role
JOB PURPOSE:
The Supply Chain Specialist will lead and manage the demand and supply planning functions by ensuring accurate forecasting, alignment of supply with demand, and optimized inventory management. This role focuses on driving collaboration between Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams to meet customer demand, manage resources effectively, and achieve business objectives.
Key Result Area / Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Plant Manager, theSupply ChainSpecialistis responsible foroverseeing production planning, procurement, and supply chain coordination to ensure efficient brewery operations and consistent product availability.This role develops andmaintainsa rolling production plan based on forecasts, historical demand, and brewery capacity while managing supplier relationships and procurement of all raw materials and packaging. Equally important responsibilities include ensuring the quality of sourced materials while also seeking out continuous improvement and cost efficiency opportunities in procurement and logistics.
Working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, theSupply ChainSpecialist ensures that production schedules, inventory levels, andlogisticsoperations align with businessobjectives, new product launches, and contract brewing commitments.
Job Responsibilitiesinclude
- Responsible for adhering to all rules, policies,and procedures includingHACCP, GMP, 5S etc. to ensure safety,qualityandefficiency of projects,productsand equipment.
- Develop andmaintaina rolling 10-week production plan based on sales forecasts, historical demand, and brewery capacity.
- Adjust production schedules as needed to respond to changing demand, operational constraints, and new product launches.
- Collaborate with production and packaging teams to ensure plans arefeasibleandoptimizedfor plant efficiency.
- Source andprocureall raw materials and packaging components required for brewery operations.
- Manage relationships withraw material and ingredientsuppliers to ensure quality standards, regulatory compliance, pricing competitiveness, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate supplier timelines to support artwork and production requirements and new product launches.
- Drive collaborative working, being flexible in your approach, supporting both those within your direct team and the wider production teams.
- Work closely with Sales, Production, Marketing, Finance, and Packaging teams to align production planning and procurement with broader business goals.
- Participate in and providesupply chain insights that support contract manufacturing, demand planning, new product development, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with contract brewing customers to understand their needs and develop tailored procurement and production strategies that ensure successful product delivery.
- Manage outbound freight andlogisticsoperations to ensuretimelyand cost-effective delivery of finished goods.
- Coordinate with carriers and distribution partners tomaintainreliable transportation and shipping schedules.
- Assess risks related to inbound materials and outbound shipments, proactivelyidentifyingpotential disruptions.
- Communicate supply chain risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
- Utilize SAP to create purchase orders (POs), build andmaintainbills of materials (BOMs), and manage inventory for raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods.
- Manage the e-commerce portal used for wholesale and bar ordering, ensuringaccurateproduct availability and order processing.
- Create a culture which encourages your shift to be proactive in recommending actions to improve processes which may improve efficiency.
- Continuously seek out cost improvement opportunities throughleveragingvolumes, sourcing other suppliers and providers, andcollaboration with quality and operations.
- Flexible when managing and executing projects to the best of your ability, asking for clarity or direction where necessary.

- Fully participate, actively collaborate and be immersed in the development and installation of a new ERP system that will replace SAP and existing planning tools.

About You
QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFIC TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Advanced knowledge in S&OP processes, demand planning methodologies, and inventory best practices.
Experience
Proven experience in a senior S&OP, demand planning, or supply chain management role.
Demonstrated success in managing and aligning demand and supply plans across multi-channel (e.g., grocery, on-trade, off-trade).
KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding of forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning processes, with knowledge of integrated S&OP systems.
Expertise in ERP systems and advanced planning tools, along with a solid understanding of demand trends.
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and identify areas for productivity improvements.
Proficiency in forecasting software and advanced Excel skills.
