About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Project Supply Chain Planner (SAP MRP) consultant to support project-based supply chain planning and material delivery activities for a global leader in industrial and transportation solutions. The engagement involves managing end-to-end project material planning, SAP MRP activities, demand planning, logistics coordination, and ensuring the timely delivery of project materials to customer sites.

Services to be Provided

  • Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and demand planning activities within SAP for assigned projects.
  • Own the end-to-end project material delivery process, from material planning through successful delivery to site.
  • Analyze MRP results, resolve planning exceptions, and manage project demand within SAP.
  • Coordinate with Project Procurement Managers (PPM), Category Managers, Engineering teams, Tactical Buyers, and Project Managers regarding engineering changes, supplier PCNs, and project requirements.
  • Work closely with tactical buyers to ensure demand plans are effectively communicated and executed with suppliers while supporting expediting activities as required.
  • Develop and communicate project logistics strategies in collaboration with internal logistics teams.
  • Plan, track, and report all project equipment deliveries, including first customer builds (FCBs) and project change orders.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed supply chain reports, delivery schedules, and project performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, Quality, HS&E, Finance, Installation & Commissioning, Customer Care, Freight Forwarders, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure successful project execution.

Expertise Required

  • University or College degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Material Planning, MRP, Demand Planning, or Project Coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong experience using SAP for MRP, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Allocation, and Delivery Commitment.
  • Solid understanding of project demand management, scheduling, and IFRS 15 principles.
  • Experience coordinating with procurement, engineering, logistics, suppliers, and project teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within the Rail, Transportation, Heavy Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment, or Engineering sectors.
  • Knowledge of project logistics, freight forwarding, and third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
  • Experience supporting engineering change management processes (PCNs/ECOs).
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent project priorities.
  • Collaborative team player with experience supporting large-scale project environments.
