Role Description
The Supply Chain – Logistics – Coordinator is responsible for coordinating supply chain and logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement of goods, inventory, and materials throughout the supply chain. This role supports operational efficiency by managing logistics activities, monitoring inventory flow, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate supply chain records.
Key responsibilities include coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, tracking deliveries, scheduling transportation, and communicating with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective operations. The role monitors shipment status, resolves logistics issues, and supports the continuous flow of materials and products.
The position is responsible for maintaining inventory records, monitoring stock levels, supporting inventory reconciliation, and ensuring accurate documentation for shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities. It also prepares logistics reports, analyzes supply chain performance, and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
The role collaborates with procurement, operations, warehouse, customer service, and finance teams to coordinate supply chain activities and ensure alignment across business functions. It also supports process improvement initiatives, standard operating procedures, and compliance with transportation regulations, safety requirements, and organizational policies.
Continuous monitoring of supply chain performance, delivery metrics, inventory accuracy, and operational risks is expected to support effective decision-making and enhance overall supply chain performance.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics operations, inventory management, transportation coordination, warehouse processes, and procurement principles.
Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, ERP systems, inventory management software, logistics platforms, and reporting tools. Familiarity with supply chain analytics and business intelligence tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to monitor inventory, analyze logistics performance, identify operational issues, and recommend process improvements.
Knowledge of shipping documentation, order fulfillment, inventory control, demand planning, freight coordination, regulatory compliance, and supply chain best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain accurate operational records.
Strong attention to detail, time management, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while supporting continuous operational improvement.
