About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to step into a pivotal role supporting the Supply Chain Manager as their 2IC within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in coordinating customer orders, logistics, procurement, inventory, and supply chain operations across both local and international markets. Acting as a central link between production, procurement, sales, freight providers, and customers, you’ll help ensure the seamless flow of goods, information, and communication throughout the business.

You’ll also provide operational support and leadership across the wider supply chain function, assisting with process improvement initiatives, mentoring team members where required, and stepping up in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer purchase orders, sales data, and supply chain transactions, ensuring accurate entry, updates, and invoicing across ERP systems and platforms such as Ariba.
  • Coordinate closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, 3PL providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage the efficient movement of goods across domestic and international supply chains.
  • Monitor sales orders, shipment schedules, and inventory movements, proactively identifying and resolving delays or supply chain issues.
  • Support consignment stock reconciliation, pricing updates, invoice processing, and inventory replenishment activities.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with operational coordination, reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, and day-to-day team support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and customer communications to support compliance and operational transparency.
  • Provide support across national operations during peak periods, staff leave, or business-critical supply chain activities.
  • Contribute to maintaining quality systems, WHS standards, and supply chain best practices across the business.

About You

This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their supply chain career within a global manufacturing business. You’ll bring a hands-on approach, strong organisational capability, and the confidence to support both operational activities and leadership functions within the team.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, procurement, or customer order coordination.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to international logistics, inventory coordination, or global supply chains will be advantageous.
  • Strong data entry accuracy and the ability to analyse and interpret supply chain information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence using ERP or business management systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive mindset with initiative, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to support broader team operations.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Leadership potential or experience supporting team coordination will be highly regarded.
