About the Company
We are exclusively retained by a mid-sized global freight forwarder with a network of over 40 offices and a focus on direct BCO accounts across air and ocean freight. The Houston office manages high-value trade lanes across LATAM, Europe, and APAC, supporting industrial, energy, and manufacturing clients with end-to-end logistics execution.
About the Role
This is a senior-level leadership role with full station accountability, including commercial growth, team performance, client retention, and P&L delivery. The position requires a commercially-driven operator who can lead frontline sales, support operations, and execute regional strategy in alignment with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Houston branch with responsibility for sales performance, client engagement, and operational delivery
Drive new GP through targeted commercial activity while supporting strategic account growth
Oversee team performance across air and ocean import/export with hands-on leadership as needed
Manage local P&L, control overhead, and report performance metrics to regional HQ
Maintain key customer relationships and ensure service-level excellence across all trade lanes
Candidate Requirements
Minimum seven years in freight forwarding with experience managing a branch or regional station
Strong commercial acumen and proven results in GP growth and customer development
Background in air and ocean freight, with operational and sales team oversight
Experience with budget control, staff development, and client retention strategies
Based in Houston or surrounding area with deep market knowledge and leadership presence
