ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Manage the procurement of transportation, logistics, warehousing, customs brokerage, and other related services required for customer shipments.
- Support the sales team by providing competitive quotations, cost analysis, and logistics solutions for new and existing business opportunities.
- Expand and diversify the supplier base across different transportation modes and trade lanes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
SUCCESS PROFILE
- Core competences: Commercial judgement (balancing cost, margin, and service quality tradeoffs); Negotiation & Influence ( with carriers, vendors, agents, and internally with sales/ops)
- Function competences: Vendor performance evaluation & contract management (SLAs, KPIs); Freight rate construction
- Hands-on experiences in purchasing logistics services at overseas destination OR other industries with strategic procurement process.
- Proficiency level required: the job holder must be able to apply the competency independently and consistently in normal day-to-day situations and sometimes in complex situations. Requires minimal supervision for standard tasks.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
