The candidate, reporting to the Deputy Supply Chain Manager, will be in charge of the below tasks and responsibilities:
Understanding the Purchase Order (Item description, Incoterms, Delivery Locations, Packing requirements). Preparation of shipping documents. Execute the levy exemption procedure for the shipments. Update and Maintain the Logistic register for each Projects. Liaising with international and local suppliers ensuring that the Products are imported on time and Complete. Coordinating for Marine Cargo Insurance Procedures. Shall be capable of conducting the RFQ Process and Proposing the Freight Forwarder based on Project requirements.
Preparation of Commercial bid tabulations, Service Contract and Purchase Orders for various freight forwarding activities. Shall take the lead in arranging the Shipments, coordinating with Vendors and Freight Forwarders. Shall be well versed in the Levy exemption Procedures for shipments to Iraq. Shall coordinate with Site team on delivery of materials from Port to Site. Shall be able to understand the loading plan.
Recommends optimal transportation modes. Coordinates with the project, procurement, expediting, shipping and site construction teams to ensure that all project material/equipment is mobilized/demobilized as per the project schedule and in line with the ROS date. Maintain a register for the shipping documents and storage of the documents against for every shipment project wise. Reporting the damages occurred during transportation to insurance agent.
Qualification &
Experience:
Educated to Graduation level (mandatory) Diploma or additional certification in Logistics preferred. 10 years working experience in the industry (mandatory) Prior experience in transportation and shipping in a manufacturing environment (mandatory) Prior Experience in importing equipment to Iraq (mandatory) Ability to manage logistics personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operations. Previous experience in a similar role relevant to the Oil and Gas Industry.
Self-motivated & disciplined. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Â Seniority level Mid-Senior level
