Ansell is looking for a Specialist, Logistics (Freight Sourcing) to join our team in Biyagama, Sri Lanka! In this position, you will play a vital role to manage all sourcing and purchasing activities for Logistic Category within the Ansell region to ensure cost-effective procurement, supplier performance, compliance with global standards, and alignment with business objectives. Standardizing end-to-end Source to Contract, ensure capacity procurement and management at Global level is aligned to Corporate Carrier Strategy.

What your role will be:-
- Develop RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to support cost reduction initiatives and establish efficient process integration with service providers.
- Ensure capacity procurement and management at a global level is aligned with Ansell's Corporate Carrier Strategy, including carrier selection and network optimization.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead their implementation, including supplier negotiations to achieve savings and synergy targets.
- Negotiate freight rates and service level agreements (SLAs) with carriers when required.
- Support and execute the Ansell Global Rate Request Desk, ensuring complete and accurate record-keeping.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Air and Ocean Freight by providing market intelligence, industry insights, and shipping trends.
- Foster collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement through active engagement with internal stakeholders.
- Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities across the logistics network.
- Interface with Country, Regional, and Local carrier contacts to resolve operational issues.
- Build strong supplier relationships through collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance against established metrics and address issues in a timely manner.
- Drive supplier development initiatives to ensure sustainable and productive partnerships.
- Escalate issues to carrier principal offices when necessary.
- Maintain proper contract filing and documentation.
- Ensure smooth contract execution and administration.
- Manage contract disputes promptly to minimize operational disruptions and delays.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, market volatility, geopolitical developments, and other supply chain factors.
- Support the development of a resilient and reliable supply chain network.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness at all times.
