GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for supervision of GOMACO shipping on all parts and machines as well as overseeing loading and packaging of machines and parts. The Shipping Supervisor works with freight companies to negotiate billing and ensure all parts and items are accounted for.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Coordinate shipping of all machines and parts
– Oversee loading and packaging of machines and parts
– Oversee shipping orders out of Symix
– Ensure all parts are accounted for
– Negotiate discounts with freight companies
– Work with lost freight and freight billing problems
– Other miscellaneous duties as required by company supervisors
QUALIFICATIONS
– Strong working knowledge of packaging and shipping industry
– Time management skills with a strong attention for detail
– Interpersonal skills with the ability to assist and negotiate
– Management, communication, and problem solving skills
– Strong computer processing and tracking skills
– Ability to comprehend, retain and complete assigned duties and instructions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,346.00 – $1,442.00 per week
