Shipping & Receiving Associate / Forklift Operator Jobs in Houston, TX at Fulfillplus, Inc.
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team.
This position will be responsible for day-to-day shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, inventory movement, and warehouse operations. Forklift experience is mandatory for this position. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and must be detail-oriented when handling inventory.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, pallets, and freight.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
- Verify incoming products against packing slips and receiving documentation.
- Count and inspect products for shortages, overages, or visible damage.
- Properly receive and put away inventory into assigned warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Build, wrap, label, and stage pallets for outbound freight.
- Operate a forklift safely for loading, unloading, put-away, and inventory movement.
- Process UPS, FedEx, LTL, and other outbound shipments as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies immediately.
- Follow customer-specific shipping and receiving instructions.
- Keep shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas clean and organized.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements
Forklift experience is REQUIRED. Candidates without forklift experience will not be considered.
Applicants should also have previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience, be able to work on their feet throughout the shift, and be comfortable lifting and moving packages as part of normal warehouse operations.
The right candidate must be dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow instructions and SOPs. Basic computer skills and previous experience using a WMS, shipping software, barcode scanners, UPS/FedEx systems, or inventory systems are a plus.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and understands the importance of inventory accuracy and shipping orders correctly and on time.
This is a hands-on warehouse position. The candidate should be comfortable switching between forklift operation, receiving freight, picking and packing orders, palletizing shipments, and general warehouse responsibilities throughout the day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
