This is a Direct Hire Opportunity with our client in Lewisville! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics and supply chain leader to oversee a high-performing shipping team, manage transportation service provider relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

The Shipping Manager will be responsible for leading and organizing shipping operations, ensuring that all products are accurately and efficiently shipped while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, logistics expertise, and strategic problem-solving to optimize shipping processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Lead and manage the shipping team, including hiring, training, evaluating, and developing employees.

Oversee daily shipping operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective product shipments.

Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, cost-efficiency, and engagement.

Manage freight movement and transportation service providers, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Collaborate with production and fulfillment teams to plan and execute daily shipping strategies.

Ensure adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.

Monitor employee productivity, timekeeping, and overall performance.

Effectively manage company assets and oversee inventory control processes.

Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Solve shipping-related issues and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.

Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

5+ years of leadership experience in transportation, supply chain, logistics, or distribution (customized manufacturing experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and supply chain management.

Proven supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing team.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities.

Strong understanding of DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and shipping best practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); ERP experience a plus.

Ability to work in hot and cold climates and manage varying work schedules as needed.

Education & Certifications:

High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Valid driver’s license required.
