Shipping Manager
Location: Clarkston, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
About the Role
Ecoslay is looking for a hands-on Shipping Manager to lead our shipping and fulfillment team and ensure orders leave our facility accurately, efficiently, and on time.
This role is responsible for team leadership, daily shipping operations, carrier coordination, inventory readiness, and continuous improvement. The right person is organized, accountable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable leading in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll DoLead the Shipping Team
- Lead, coach, train, and support shipping team members.
- Set clear expectations for productivity, accuracy, attendance, and accountability.
- Assign daily workloads based on order volume, deadlines, and staffing.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings and provide ongoing performance feedback.
- Address performance issues promptly and partner with Operations leadership as needed.
- Build a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
Manage Daily Shipping Operations
- Oversee fulfillment for direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and retail partner orders.
- Ensure orders are picked, packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Prioritize shipments based on carrier cutoffs, deadlines, and business needs.
- Monitor outstanding orders, shipping delays, and fulfillment issues.
- Resolve order discrepancies, damaged shipments, backorders, and other shipping exceptions.
- Maintain high standards for packaging, presentation, and shipment accuracy.
Coordinate Logistics
- Manage shipments through USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight carriers, and other logistics providers.
- Schedule carrier and freight pickups.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, packing lists, manifests, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
- Troubleshoot lost, delayed, damaged, or incorrectly routed shipments.
Manage Shipping Inventory
- Monitor finished goods and shipping supply inventory.
- Maintain adequate levels of boxes, labels, mailers, pallets, and packing materials.
- Communicate replenishment needs and order approved supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area.
Improve Performance
- Track shipping accuracy, turnaround time, backlog, order volume, and team productivity.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve shipping workflows and procedures.
- Develop and maintain shipping SOPs.
- Prepare the department for promotions, launches, wholesale orders, and seasonal volume.
- Provide regular updates to Operations leadership on performance and operational needs.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous leadership experience in shipping, fulfillment, warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong knowledge of order fulfillment, packing, labeling, carrier pickups, and shipping documentation.
- Experience working with USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight, or similar carriers.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable using shipping, inventory, order management, and e-commerce systems.
- Ability to work alongside the team when needed.
- Ability to lift packages and work in an active warehouse environment.

- E-commerce or consumer packaged goods experience.
- Wholesale fulfillment experience.
- International shipping experience.
- Freight and pallet shipping experience.
- Experience managing shipping KPIs and improving fulfillment processes.
