Overview
A growing provider of technology and mobility solutions is seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee and improve daily outbound operations. This role is critical in ensuring timely, accurate shipments while driving process improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day shipping operations to ensure prompt and accurate order fulfillment
Utilize shipping/order management systems to manage workflows (e.g., Ship Station or similar)
Apply lean and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance shipping efficiency
Train and manage shipping staff to optimize productivity and workflow
Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive performance and process enhancements
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Maintain shipping documentation and accuracy in inventory levels
Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless logistics and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
5+ years experience in warehouse operations; 3+ years in a shipping leadership role
Proven success in driving process improvements using lean or Six Sigma methodologies
Strong attention to detail is a must
Experience with logistics platforms (Ship Station a plus) and inventory software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
