Description of Position:
The Shipping & Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for appropriately packing and shipping manufactured products to customers, accurately processing completed work orders, and maintaining finished part inventory counts. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented, and will demonstrate willingness and ability to take ownership of the processes required. Reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow through are core requirements for this position.
Job Duties:
Process outgoing shipments via ERP software by preparing packing slips and other required shipping documents; pull products to satisfy shipments from both finished goods inventory and in-process work as required; communicate ASN and carrier pickup information into customer and freight portals.
Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment by freight carriers.
Deliver products to customers and/or outside service providers as necessary.
Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize loss or damage during transit. Load delivery vehicles as needed.
Ensure a safe, clean work environment by making housekeeping a priority – keeping shipping area, stock shelves, shipping supplies and workstation neat and organized.
Ensure accurate on hand inventory count by use of cycle counts and spot checks; communicate quantity changes in a timely manner.
Maintain and/or add warehouse and bin locations in ERP system as needed.
Perform work in accordance with organizational QMS requirements.
Document any needed updates to customer shipping processes to ensure smooth flow of information.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrate ability to use and understand internet, database, and spreadsheet programs in a desktop computer environment from day one.
Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times in a dynamic work environment.

Excellent written, verbal and time-management skills
Fluency in spoken and written English
Ability to continuously stand or walk; ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
