Shipping Coordinator
The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at BWay are dynamic. Maintains and file shipping documents
Generates BOL (bill of lading) for outbound freight
Schedules LTL (less than truck load) with LTL carriers
Performs check-in of inbound freight
Completes daily cycle counts of finished goods
Verifies loading documentation and check for accuracy
Notifies the supervisor of any issues with shipments
Makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the job, efficiency, quality and quantity.
Additional Responsibilities: Performs other related duties as assigned or required. Job Scope:
Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. In-depth knowledge of changeovers.
Education and Experience Requirements:
This position requires a high school degree or its equivalent; at least one to three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude, skills in basic mathematical calculations
Understands quality, PPE requirements and safety and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures
Physical/Visual Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand on concrete floors. Frequent amounts of bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling are required.
The employee must regularly be able to do light/medium amounts of lifting and carrying (1 – 50lbs) in order to manually unload received materials and distribute to appropriate departments or storage areas.
This job is performed in the manufacturing production environment, with some exposure to outside weather elements.
Exposure to high noise levels in some areas, including exposure to oil, and dirt.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
Inside conditions, extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), exposure to humidity, working in tight areas, high noise levels from production environment, including some exposure to outside weather elements, oil and dirt.
