About the Role
As a Shipping Coordinator, Madrid, you will join our dynamic European Shipping Department, which includes 30 colleagues organized into four teams, each led by one of our Shipping Managers. The Iberica Shipping Team in Chr. Olesen consists of one Team Leader located in Denmark and two shipping coordinators located in Madrid, working closely to support and expand our distribution service in the Iberica region.
The team plays a crucial role in ensuring our products are delivered on time and in the right quality and quantities. It oversees all international supply chain activities — from sourcing in Asia to distribution across local markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the supply chain of ingredients, including follow-up on purchase orders, warehouse storage, and customer deliveries
- Negotiating and booking freight and warehouse services
- Booking warehouses and carriers
- Maintaining daily contact with partners and internal colleagues across regions
- Handling order registration, logistics, and communication in our ERP system
- Participating in both large and small cross-functional projects throughout the year
Keys Skills for Success:
We are looking for someone experienced in handling the entire line of supply chain tasks, from the supplier to the customer and who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and brings both structure and enthusiasm to their daily work.
You are likely to succeed if you:
- Hold a degree/diploma in freight forwarding, customer service, supply chain management, or a similar field
- Have 3–5 years of relevant experience in customer service and logistics
- Are fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written
- Can balance strategic overview with detailed execution
It’s a plus if you have experience with
- Navision and/or Business Central
- Microsoft Office package
