We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Shipping Assistant
to
join our team
in
Peterborough, ON.
The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods, supporting the warehouse team, and maintaining a smooth
shipping and receiving
process.
Shipping Assistant Duties:
Prepare, pack, and label items for shipment according to company standards
Coordinate with couriers and carriers to arrange shipments and pickups
Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
Organize and maintain shipping and receiving areas
Assist in managing inventory by logging incoming shipments and updating records
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth operations
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Shipping Assistant Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role is an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
Basic computer skills for tracking and processing shipments
Effective communication skills and a team-player attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Daily access to reliable transportation
