About the Role
Our client is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time role ensures efficient coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and store incoming shipments
Prepare bills of lading for customer orders
Ensure products are packed, labeled, and recorded correctly
Maintain accurate shipping records
Optimize shipping routes and negotiate courier rates
Direct drivers on truck parking and loading/unloading
Track shipments and communicate delays
Lead and support shipping team members
Work with scheduling, inventory, and operations teams
Manage warehouse storage and returns
Contribute to production meetings and process improvements
Enforce safety regulations and PPE use
Manage a team of 4 – 5 direct reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
5+ years of experience in a Shipping and Receiving position
Experience managing a team
Knowledge of international shipping, especially Europe and US
Experience with freight brokers and carriers
Proficiency in customs paperwork and documentation
Strong understanding of warehouse and inventory processes
In-depth knowledge of company products and SKUs
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
