Job Description: Shipping and Receiving Specialist. Verifies and keeps record of incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares units for processing by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
· Unload freight trucks and company vehicles manually or with the use of forklift; identify and sort goods received in shipments for delivery within company.
· Receive units, visual inspect, confirm pertinent information such as part/serial numbers on documentation matches with item received.
· Open work orders, ensure timely processing of delivery to each department.
· Take pictures of each unit for quality control and visual inspection.
· Print work order forms for each corresponding unit.
· Report discrepancies of incoming units to customer service.
· Inventory goods received for internal use such as office supplies and materials.
· Prepare overhaul repair units for shipment, carefully wrap, strap and pack unit to ensure its integrity during shipping process.
· Maintain work area clean.
· Other duties may be assigned.
SKILLS
· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; minimum of 1 year working in logistics; ability to effectively communicate in English, Spanish is a plus, experience working with Microsoft Office products and computer proficiency, forklift certification is a plus. Candidate should be organized, work well in a team environment, and strive for quality, accuracy and attention to details.
