Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Shipping & Receiving function for the facility. Partners closely with the Production, Customer Service and Sales Departments to coordinate shipping and receiving raw materials and finished goods in the most timely, cost-efficient manner.
Key Activities
Organized and prepare all outgoing shipments, including banding and wrapping pallets.
Ensure all finished product is labeled correctly and processed accordingly within Amtech.
Loading, unloading, storing, and moving materials through the warehouse and production area.
Performs data entry and maintenance of documentation supporting all shipping transactions.
Receive incoming shipments; unload, visually inspect, and stock. Complete Amtech receiving transaction.
Professional and timely communication with customer service and sales team members on order overages and necessary shipping information.
Prepare and maintain shipping supplies and keep the department organized.
Assist in other areas and with miscellaneous warehouse tasks as needed.
Inventory
Complete weekly and monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory visibility within Amtech.
Update the inventory in Amtech and investigate discrepancies.
Ensure inventory remains organized and all inventory has the appropriate load tag attached.
Monitor and communicate to purchasing when inventory of suppliers or raw materials is below minimum on-hand quantity requirements.
Perform inventory and receipt adjustments for accuracy.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Proactively develop process improvements both internally and within Amtech.
Monitor inventory needs to ensure raw materials and finished goods are available to meet production and shipping needs.
Preferred Skills
Ability to read and comprehend procedures.
Ability to multitask and work in a face paced environment with minimal errors.
Educations & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years prior material handling experience.
