About the Role

Quantum Innovations is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support the movement of materials, products, and equipment throughout our operations. This position plays an important role in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packaged, documented, and shipped while also supporting receiving, inventory, and material movement activities.

This is a hands-on position that combines physical work, computer systems, inventory management, carrier coordination, and collaboration with multiple departments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for preparing and processing domestic shipments, supporting receiving activities, maintaining accurate inventory movement, and coordinating with parcel and freight carriers. The position works closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Materials, Sales, and other departments to ensure materials and customer orders move accurately and efficiently through the organization.

Training will be provided for specialized responsibilities based on the employee’s experience and development within the position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Pick inventory accurately for customer sales orders

· Package parts, consumables, and equipment for shipment

· Process shipments using NetSuite and carrier shipping software

· Verify order quantities, shipping information, and documentation prior to shipment

· Coordinate pickups and shipments with FedEx, UPS, LTL, and other freight carriers

· Work closely with Receiving to ensure daily Shipping & Receiving priorities are completed

· Receive, move, organize, and stock incoming materials as needed

· Support inventory accuracy and proper material handling

· Pull and stage materials for projects and manufacturing work orders

· Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom and shipping area

· Monitor and order shipping and stockroom supplies

· Operate forklifts and order pickers

· Assist with loading and unloading freight

· Communicate with internal departments regarding order status, material availability, shipping requirements, and potential issues

· Identify and help resolve shipping, inventory, and order discrepancies

· Maintain accurate records within NetSuite and other applicable systems

Additional Training & Growth Opportunities

As knowledge and experience develop, responsibilities may expand to include:

· International shipping

· Preparation and review of commercial invoices and other international shipping documentation

· Customs and export documentation

· Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) and Dangerous Goods shipping

· International carrier coordination

· Additional inventory and Materials responsibilities

Prior experience in these areas is beneficial but is not required for consideration.

Qualifications & Experience

· Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or material-handling experience preferred

· Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

· ERP experience preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus

· Experience with FedEx, UPS, or other carrier shipping systems preferred

· Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems

· Forklift experience preferred; training may be provided

· High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 70 lbs.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday

· Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull materials

· Comfortable working at heights while using appropriate equipment

· Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment after appropriate training
