Manager Vessel Planning & MIS Reporting

Experience: 10-15 years

Job Location – Al Aqaba Jordan

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, preferably with a Post Diploma in Shipping or Import-Export Management

Responsibilities:

Vessel Planning & Coordination:

Manage vessel scheduling, berth allocation, and cargo loading/unloading operations.

Optimize vessel turnaround times while ensuring operational efficiency.

Coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, and terminal operators for seamless vessel movement.

MIS Reporting & Data Analysis:

Develop and maintain MIS reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for vessel and terminal operations.

Analyze operational data, generate insights, and recommend process improvements.

Ensure timely submission of reports to management, clients, and regulatory bodies.

Port & Cargo Operations:

Supervise port clearance, cargo forwarding, and documentation processes.

Oversee operations at container terminals, liquid terminals, and ensure compliance with port regulations.

Coordinate with customs, freight forwarders, and port authorities to facilitate smooth cargo movement.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management:

Ensure efficient communication and coordination with customers regarding vessel schedules, cargo movement, and service updates.

Address and resolve customer queries and operational challenges in a timely manner.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping agencies, and logistics partners.

Regulatory Compliance & Process Optimization:

Ensure compliance with port regulations, customs clearance procedures, and international shipping protocols.

Identify bottlenecks in vessel operations and implement process improvements.

Ensure all activities adhere to safety, security, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce; Post Diploma in Shipping or Import-Export Management preferred.

Experience:10-15 years in port operations, vessel planning, cargo forwarding, and terminal management.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of container terminal operations, liquid terminal management, and cargo handling.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIS reporting, data analytics, and shipping software tools.

Regulatory Expertise: Knowledge of port clearance, customs regulations, and freight forwarding procedures.

Communication & Leadership: Strong team management, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving skills.
