Job PURPOSE
Responsible for monitoring, developing, and governing the operational processes of the Unified Control Centre and the Authority’s operational centres, contributing to the preparation and development of the governance and strategic framework for the Unified Control Department and RTA’s operational control centres, monitoring their implementation and ensuring compliance with them, in addition to contributing to the development and monitoring of the Centre of Excellence and managing partnerships and working agreements related to the Unified Control Department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DECISION-MAKING
1. Monitor, coordinate, and govern multiple mobility operations across the Emirate of Dubai using the systems and technologies available at the Unified Control Center.
2. Inform the relevant centers and entities of incident management and handling, based on information available from all RTA operational control centers.
3. Supervise the operational tasks of the Unified Control Center and monitor its performance in coordination with the relevant entities, and issue related reports.
4. Develop and monitor the Center of Excellence and manage the Unified Control Center’s partnerships and working agreements.
5. Receive, transfer, and close all emergency communications/reports received by the Center during emergencies, and coordinate with the line manager and relevant internal and external entities in this regard.
6. Plan, monitor, and handle crises in coordination with the relevant entities by monitoring, recording, and following up on lessons learned.
7. Define, document, and coordinate response processes to incidents occurring on the RTA’s transportation network in accordance with approved policies to support institutions and crisis and emergency management teams, and submit reports thereon.
8. Develop policies, procedures, work methods, and related performance indicators, and submit necessary proposals for work improvement to the direct manager for approval and implementation, in accordance with the Authority’s procedures and regulations.
9. Disseminate institutional knowledge in the field of specialization, using available means such as specialized workshops, professional training for current employees, and orientation programs for new employees, among others.
10. Perform all other duties and responsibilities related to the job, as assigned and directed by the direct manager.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in transportation engineering, computer science, or a similar major from an accredited educational institution.
