Job Purpose:
The Senior Specialist of the Supply Chain Control Tower will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the company’s end-to-end supply chain processes. This position will focus on optimizing and monitoring the day-to-day activities within the control tower, ensuring that all supply chain functions—including warehousing, transportation, sourcing, purchasing, and import operations—are aligned and executing smoothly. The Senior Specialist will take on a leadership role in supporting the control tower team, troubleshooting operational issues, and contributing to continuous improvements in supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
Process Monitoring & Optimization: Oversee and optimize specific segments of the supply chain process within the control tower. Identify inefficiencies, implement corrective actions, and ensure that supply chain processes run smoothly, contributing to cost reduction and improved performance.
Operational Support: Support day-to-day operations across warehousing, transportation, sourcing, purchasing, and import functions. Act as a point of escalation for operational issues, working to resolve challenges and minimize disruptions.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor supply chain performance and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Use data analytics to provide insights on bottlenecks, risks, and performance trends, and propose actionable solutions for continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Proactively identify supply chain risks and potential disruptions. Collaborate with the Manager and other team members to develop and implement mitigation plans to prevent delays and inefficiencies.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with colleagues in other departments, including IT, warehousing, transport, sourcing, purchasing, and sales management, to ensure smooth coordination and information flow across the control tower.
Technology Integration & Improvement: Assist in the integration and optimization of supply chain technologies (ERP, TMS, WMS, etc.) to improve process visibility, efficiency, and decision-making.
Customer-Focused Operations: Ensure that the control tower’s activities are aligned with customer needs, with a focus on improving on-time delivery, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
Mentorship & Team Development: Assist in the mentoring and development of junior team members (Specialists) within the control tower, offering guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
3+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations
Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and managing operational processes in a control tower or similar centralized environment
Familiarity with supply chain technology systems (e.g., ERP, TMS, WMS) and data analytics for performance tracking and process improvement
Certifications:
APICS CPIM, CSCP, or other relevant certifications are a plus
Six Sigma or Lean certifications preferred
