We are seeking for motivated and detail-oriented Logistics executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation providers to ensure the timely and efficient movement of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate import and export shipments via sea, air and land transportation.
- Arrange delivery schedules between suppliers, forwarders, warehouses and project sites.
- Monitor shipment status and ensure timely cargo movement.
- Coordinate containers deliveries, unloading schedules and site logistics arrangements.
- Follow up closely with shipping agents, freight forwarders, transporters and customs brokers.
Documentation & Customs
- Prepare, verify and maintain shipping and logistic documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customs and import/export regulations.
- Coordinate customs clearance and duty/tax payment arrangements.
Vendor & Forwarder Management
- Liaise with suppliers, forwarders and transporters.
- Obtain quotations and compare logistics cost for transportations, logistics and forwarding services.
Warehouse & Site Coordination
- Coordinate cargo receiving and delivery between warehouse and project sites.
- Ensure manpower and unloading equipment are arranged before cargo arrival.
Billing & Cost Control
- Verify logistics invoices and supporting documents before payment processing.
- Monitor local charges, freight costs, storage, demurrage and detention charges.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide shipment updates and delivery status to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and filing systems.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding or supply chain operations.
- Familiar with import/export documentation and customs clearance processes.
- Experience handling project cargo or construction logistics is an added advantages.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and any logistics or inventory management software.
- Able to work under tight timeliness and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDU, etc)
- Familiar with container planning (FCL/LCL)
- Experience coordinating inland transportation and site delivery
- Understanding of all shipping related charges
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
