Freight Biller / Audit & Reconciliation Specialist
Onsite in Fullerton CA
$30.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Freight Biller / Audit & Reconciliation Specialist to support high-volume transportation billing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience auditing freight invoices, reconciling billing discrepancies, validating rates and NMFC classifications, and ensuring accurate revenue capture.
Responsibilities:
- Audit and process freight invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile freight charges against BOLs, tariffs, contracts, and customer rates.
- Review NMFC classifications, detention charges, and accessorial fees.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes.
- Maintain accurate invoice, payment, and billing records.
- Support accounts receivable activities and shipment documentation reviews.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and service centers to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience in freight billing, freight audit, or transportation accounting.
- Knowledge of NMFC classifications, freight rates, tariffs, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and data entry accuracy.
- Experience with AS400, TruckMate, or similar transportation systems preferred.
