Overview
NV5 has several opportunities for Senior and Principal Engineers to join our Civil Transportation/Roadway Department in our Parsippany, NJ office. We seek motivated candidates with 5 – 10 years of Engineering experience, with a desire to work in aTeam environment, and capable of supervising Engineer/Junior Engineer level staff. This position provides the opportunity to be an integral member of a multi-discipline design team, looking for exposure to the various disciplines required for advancing transportation and civil related NJDOT and County projects.
Our multi-discipline design team approach will provide the successful candidates the opportunity to pursue a path, focused on technical and/orproject managementwhich aligns with their strengths and interest.We currently have a wealth of interesting projects, and given our office current workload and backlog,
these positions provide excellent opportunities for fast-trackcareer growth.Our office also has a significant backlog of (Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) and Safe Routes to School (SRTS) projects with NJDOT. There are excellent opportunities to provideleadershipor support on these assignments.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BSCE)
NJ PE License
Provide technical oversight to engineering staff. The NV5 NJ office has exceptional experienced staff with the desire to train and support Technical Management and/orProject Managementcareer goals of the applicant.
Preparation of roadway/highway design and plan development. ADA design experience a plus.
Support the preparation of technical reports and studies, including Concept Development and Final Design Reports.
Perform condition assessments and inventory of substandard/critical design elements.
Collaborate with multidiscipline design engineers and technicians.
Opportunities for involvement inProject Managementskills pertaining to project budgets and schedules, and adherence to a project’s scope of work.
Support Public Outreach tasks.
Participate in professional organizations and technical societies.
Compensation
$90,000.00 – $ per year
Base pay offered for this New Jersey based role may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
