Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
Duties
Operate and drive a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers and , for the transportation of scrap.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight.
Navigate designated routes while adhering to delivery schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
Qualifications
Proven experience in truck driving, with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).

Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety practices.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
