Role Description The Sea Freight Pricing Executive is a full-time, hybrid role based in Piraeus, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing sea freight quotations for FCL and LCL shipments, consolidations, and project cargo, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing aligned with company policies and market conditions. Daily tasks include analyzing carrier rate sheets and market trends, liaising with shipping lines and overseas agents, and coordinating closely with sales and operations teams to support customer proposals. The role involves maintaining pricing databases, monitoring key trade routes, and responding promptly to time-critical quote requests. The Sea Freight Pricing Executive also contributes to margin optimization, supports contract negotiations, and provides clear, professional pricing communication to internal stakeholders and customers.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of sea freight operations, including FCL/LCL, consolidation, and project cargo, with experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Proficiency in pricing analysis, rate negotiation, and margin management, with the ability to interpret carrier tariffs and market trends.
- Competence in using MS Excel and other relevant software or TMS/ERP tools for data entry, rate management, and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Greek language skills are an advantage.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong numerical accuracy, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, operations, and overseas offices, while working independently in a hybrid environment.
- Customer-focused mindset and problem-solving skills to handle urgent and time-critical pricing requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in sea freight pricing, trade lanes management, or related roles will be considered a strong asset.
