Job Overview
Alpine Fresh is seeking a motivated and driven Sales Support Coordinator. This role is a critical part of our Sales Department, focusing on teamwork and efficient task completion. As the Sales Support Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in our operations by handling office and logistics tasks essential to our business operations.
You’ll report directly to an Account Manager, with responsibilities that include ocean freight logistics, sales order processing, and communication with suppliers and transportation agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate verbally and in writing with suppliers and transportation agencies.
Select carriers, negotiate rates, and manage contracts.
Address and resolve complaints and logistical issues.
Keep the sales team informed about shipping carriers, routes, rates, and updates.
Coordinate trucking, dispatch trucks, book with ocean carriers, and plan vessel schedules.
Process high volumes of sales orders (air and sea) quickly and efficiently.
Coordinate export documentation, transportation, and logistics.
Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of requested materials.
Develop and execute strategic plans, budgets, and revenue objectives to achieve targets.
Analyze market conditions (supply and demand) to identify growth opportunities.
Allocate products during high demand, handle sales allowances, and increase revenue.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2–3 years of experience in fresh produce or perishable food sales (e.g., large retailers, wholesalers, food service).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Advanced computer skills and familiarity with sales applications.
Knowledge of export transportation, logistics, shipping management, and vessel planning.
Ability to handle high volumes of sales orders and manage shipments effectively.
Strong initiative to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
