The Role
We are looking for a driven, goal-oriented Sales Representative to join our Dubai team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind expanding our market presence, securing new business opportunities, and managing relationships with existing and prospective clients. You will work closely with our operations and customer service teams to deliver seamless logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client portfolio and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
- Commercial Operations: Prepare accurate quotations and tailored commercial proposals based on client requirements; negotiate rates effectively.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate internally with the Operations Team to guarantee smooth execution of shipments and quick resolution of client inquiries.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, identify potential clients, and stay ahead of competitors.
- Sales Administration: Maintain accurate sales records, track performance metrics, and utilize CRM systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of proven sales experience specifically within freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping.
- Solid understanding of international trade, transport operations, and freight forwarding processes across sea, air, and land logistics (including pricing, documentation, and Incoterms).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability in client relationship management, from cold prospecting to long-term account development.
- High organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple clients and tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office tools, and basic sales data reporting.
- A proactive, independent, and goal-oriented approach to sales.
Preferred (Plus):
- Previous hands-on experience in operations within a freight forwarding company is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Dubai and GCC logistics market, including local shipping regulations.
- Additional languages commonly used in the region.
- A relevant diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
