Responsibilities;
Find new customers for transportation to fulfill the target amount of operational income.
Require rates from all types of suppliers (Hauliers, Co-Loaders, Transportation Companies).
Deliver the rates for the transportation inquiries of customers and freight forwarders.
Schedule weekly meetings with her/his/its sales team.
Reply the new shipment or storage inquiries of the actual customers and freight forwarders.
Follow up the sent offers.
Arrange new customer visits.
Manage to enter the customer and inquiry data to the used CRM Program.
Work on trends and market research’s to develop target customers and markets.
Develop weekly, monthly and yearly sales strategies.
Manage a group of sales executives for road freight, transportation, warehousing and freight forwarding.
Prepare the sales reports and responsible to participate the meetings and social activities those will be scheduled by the company management.
Deliver the won business to the Operation team with necessary data.
Demonstrate a commitment to conduct operations in accordance with the Safety, Health & Environmental program.
Annual budget planning and try the best to realize the figures.
Requirements;
Customer centric and solution targeted mindset.
Good understanding of logistics and customer needs.
Knowledge of variables for transportation methods – warehouse needs and incoterms.
Provide guidance and feedback for improving sales skills of the sales team.
Ability to interact and work effectively with customer and vendors, always maintaining a high level of integrity.
Good computer knowledge in MS Office applications.
5+ years of experience in sales for any kind of transportation, forwarding or warehousing Management Experience.
At least a good level Dutch understanding.
