Job Summary:
Derenz Logistics, an agent-owned office representing Packard Transport and The Evans Network of Companies, is looking for a motivated Outside Sales Representative to bring new shippers into our freight network. We specialize in flatbed, step-deck, and heavy haul freight, servicing construction firms, equipment suppliers, and industrial clients across the Midwest, South, and nationwide.
Your role is simple: get the customer — we’ll handle the rest.
Once a shipper is onboarded, our team manages all dispatching, carrier coordination, billing, and operations. You’ll focus solely on business development and relationship building — ideal for a driven sales pro who doesn’t want to get tied up in the day-to-day logistics.
We offer a competitive commission-based structure starting at 10–20% of gross profit, with higher tiers for high-volume or exclusive accounts.
Responsibilities:
Prospect and close new shipper accounts through cold calls, emails, and industry networking
Introduce potential customers to Derenz’s specialized freight services
Develop long-term customer relationships, with a focus on construction and equipment sectors
Collaborate with internal team to ensure seamless onboarding and communication
Track sales activity and pipeline progress
Meet monthly revenue or margin-based targets
Qualifications:
Prior B2B sales experience required — logistics, transportation, or industrial sales preferred
Familiarity with freight brokerage, trucking, or flatbed/heavy haul freight is a strong plus
Confident communicator with strong presentation and closing skills
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Organized and professional, with the ability to manage a growing customer base
Must have access to a phone and computer (CRM experience a bonus)
