Job Summary: The Route Relief/Utility RSR supports the Service Department by covering routes, performing service tasks, and assisting with customer needs through up-selling and cross-selling. Reports to the District Manager.

Essential Functions:
Perform all responsibilities of a Route Sales Representative and related tasks.
Support and learn all routes; cover routes during absences.
Assist in rush deliveries, renewals, audits, training, and other tasks as assigned.
Solicit new customers, up-sell/cross-sell, and ensure profitable product mix.
Participate in promotions, contests, training, and audits.
Follow policies regarding customer management and service.
Build customer relationships, communicate effectively, and resolve concerns proactively.
Operate delivery vehicle safely, maintain cleanliness, and perform inspections.
Handle customer payments and keep route paperwork current.
Ensure timely deliveries, pick up soiled textiles, and maintain inventories.
Monitor competitive activity and keep service agreements current.
Unload soiled textiles and prepare route paperwork accurately.
Perform other tasks as directed by supervision.
Additional Functions: Support other service personnel as required.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License; CDL preferred; must be 21+ years old.
Clean driving record with no violations.
Minimum one year of safe driving experience.
Excellent customer service and route sales skills.
Effective communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
Ability to recognize colors, sizes, and types of products; accurate counting.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license required.
Travel Requirements: Daily route travel using a delivery vehicle.
Environmental Conditions: Operating vehicles on public roads, at customer locations, and within industrial facilities.
Physical Demands: Sitting, grasping, driving, stooping, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting up to 75 lbs, moving carts up to 500 lbs, standing, walking, writing, speaking, hearing.
