Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roll-Off Driver/CDL A Trailer driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate rolloff trucks designed for hauling Scrap metal containers, ensuring safe and efficient transportation to and from locations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route management, and container handling will help maintain our commitment to timely deliveries and exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll-off trucks equipped with hydraulic systems for loading and unloading large containers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate diverse routes using GPS navigation systems, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of waste containers or freight.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload various types of cargo such as hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, flatbed loads, tanker shipments, or freight requiring specialized handling.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, route information, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
- Perform manual handling tasks related to loading/unloading cargo safely while following proper procedures to prevent injury or damage.
Qualifications
- Must have experience in driving a rolloff and knowing how to safely pick ups and drop off containers to job sites.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL B).
- Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT safety standards, hazardous materials regulations, and logistics cargo handling procedures.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles and using GPS navigation tools for efficient route management.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload activities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of truck driving safety practices including tractor-trailer operation and over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
