About Scan Global Logistics Romania
Our Bucharest office currently consists of 11 employees and provides a full range of logistics services, including:
- Road Freight
- Ocean Freight
- Air Freight
- ARG & Special Projects
As a Road Freight Coordinator, you will join a dedicated Road Freight team of two professionals, where your contribution will have a direct impact on the success of our operations and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership, build strong industry relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of our Romanian organization.
What You'll Do
As a Road Freight Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing domestic and international road transportation operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and monitoring road freight shipments (FTL and LTL) across domestic and international markets
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and transport partners
- Negotiating competitive freight rates and sourcing transport capacity
- Managing communication between customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Tracking shipments and proactively resolving operational issues
- Preparing transport and customs documentation when required
- Monitoring costs, validating rates, and supporting invoicing processes
- Analyzing operational performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Supporting risk management and implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Preparing operational and financial reports for management
- Visiting carriers and partners to strengthen cooperation and ensure service excellence
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience (at least 2 years) in road freight forwarding
- Good understanding of road transportation processes and documentation
- Experience negotiating with carriers and managing freight procurement
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Romanian language skills at native/C2 level
- Communicative English language skills required; additional languages are an advantage
