Job Overview
We are seeking reliable, safe, and skilled Truck Drivers to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a tractor with 48ft flatbed or a hotshot with landoll trailer. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, experience, adherence to traffic regulations, DOT regulations, and excellent time management skills. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the freight.
Duties
Operate tractor-trailer, flatbed, or hotshot with landoll.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections every single day to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
Comply with random drug testings
Safely load and unload freight, including vehicles, heavy machinery, shipping containers, trailers, sheds, etc.
Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
Skills
Proficient in operating various truck types including tractor-trailers, landolls, and flatbeds.
Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Comfortable with backing and dock parking
Knowledge of route driving techniques and delivery driver responsibilities.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Roadside experience for simple tire changes
