Role Overview
The Freight Logistics Manager within Product Operations is responsible for orchestrating safe, efficient, and compliant freight movements for commercial pilots. They lead the implementation and execution of pilot programs, ensuring customer onboarding, lane launches, and SLA adherence. The role involves managing external communications, overseeing daily freight operations, and providing operational feedback to product and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and autonomous vehicle testing regulations.
- Establish procedures for handling freight disruptions and delays, minimizing supply chain impact.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Manage daily freight movements, ensuring delivery SLAs are met.
- Act as primary point of contact for pilot customers, conducting reviews and sharing performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize dispatching, driver scheduling, and freight management tools.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years in freight brokerage, carrier operations, or fleet management, with experience managing fleets or accounts preferred.
- Deep knowledge of FMCSA regulations, HOS exceptions, and safety controls.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with transportation management systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with enterprise clients.
