Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Air Freight Pricing Specialist with strong operational knowledge to lead and manage our Colombo-based of two members. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving competitive pricing strategies, negotiating rates with multiple agents, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute competitive air freight pricing strategies.
Collaborate and negotiate with multiple local and international agents to secure optimal rates.
Liaise effectively with WCA network agents; prior experience is highly desirable.
Lead and support the DXB team to meet and exceed revenue and performance targets.
Provide operational oversight when necessary, ensuring service quality and compliance.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure pricing aligns with client requirements and operational capabilities.
Maintain up-to-date market knowledge and trends to stay competitive.
Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in air freight pricing and operations; exposure to the DXB market is a must.
Team Leadership: Experience in managing or supervising small teams.
Agent Management: Proven ability to negotiate with multiple agents; experience with WCA network agents is a strong advantage.
Analytical Mindset: Strong numerical and market analysis skills to develop and adjust pricing strategies.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and coordination skills.
Software: Proficient in MS Office and freight management systems.
Self-Starter: Ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive results with minimal supervision.
Preferred Attributes:
Strong knowledge of the Dubai freight forwarding industry.
Energetic, proactive, and result-oriented attitude.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Brief understanding of Freight in India & Maldives is and added advantage.
