We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. As an Owner Operator, you will manage your own vehicle while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This position requires a strong understanding of different types of trucks and trailers, as well as the ability to navigate various driving conditions.
Responsibilities
Operate a variety of trucks including flatbed, refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to schedules and delivery deadlines.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo using forklifts when necessary.
Navigate routes using GPS systems and maps while being aware of road conditions.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
Uphold high standards of professionalism while representing the company on the road.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
Proven experience in truck driving with a solid record of safety.
Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Experience operating flatbed trucks, roll-off trucks, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or tractor-trailers is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of route planning and navigation techniques.
Ability to perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
