Job Description:
Standard Forwarding Freight is Hiring a Diesel Mechanic.

We are currently looking for a versatile and hardworking mechanic to join our team.
Job Overview:
The mechanic position would be a specialized and experienced mechanic for servicing diesel engines and vehicles. They must be well versed with the industry regulation and safety aspect of diesel engines and their functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine servicing and overhauling of all diesel engines.
Inspecting the engines and detecting malfunctions.
Replacing engine parts and appropriately assembling the same.
Record servicing and engine repairs.
Checking electrical systems and transmission parts and ensuring the smooth functions of the same.
Follow all stipulated industry safety regulations and standards of working.
Safety and Compliance
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, including DOT regulations to maintain equipment to insure a CSA score in line with FMSCA standards.
Documentation:
Inspection reports, and other customer and company documents.
Qualifications:
Ability to detect technical malfunctions in the machines.
Sound understanding of using all repair tools, equipment and testing machinery.
Must own their own tools for the trade.
Experience with diesel engines, brakes, and general mechanic experience.
High school or equivalent (Preferred).
