Duties
Operate trucks to transport freight to specified destinations in a timely manner.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Manage route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and minimize delays.
Skills
Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
Experience with loading and unloading freight, including the use of forklifts when necessary.
Knowledge of flatbed, dump truck, route driving, and refrigerated trailer operations.
Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate delivery records.
Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
Commitment to safety practices while operating vehicles in various conditions.
