Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OTR (Over-the-Road) driver to join the Emsyn Express team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight and ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes efficiently.
Duties
Operate refrigerated trailer units.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage as required by DOT regulations.
Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during transit.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
Experience
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Experience with route driving and freight transportation is essential.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking and transportation is required.
A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is mandatory for this position.
