We’re currently looking for a proactive and detail-driven Purchasing Manager to join our team and oversee our procurement process from start to finish.
Position Overview
The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in our operations by managing all vendor communications, tracking orders, overseeing procurement timelines, ensuring quality control, and supporting seamless project execution. This role requires both strategic thinking and sharp organizational skills to manage high-end furnishings, finishes, and fixtures with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end purchasing for multiple interior design projects
Place and track orders with vendors, ensuring timelines and specifications are met
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors and suppliers
Create and maintain purchase orders, order logs, and delivery schedules
Oversee logistics, freight, and warehouse coordination for incoming goods
Review samples and confirm specifications with design and project management teams
Handle claims, returns, and damage resolutions professionally and efficiently
Maintain vendor relationships and update preferred vendor lists
Collaborate with accounting to ensure timely invoice processing and cost tracking
Support installations by ensuring items are received, inspected, and ready as scheduled
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or project coordination (interior design, furniture, or architecture industry preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, project management tools, and purchasing software (e.g., Studio Designer, Design Manager, or similar)
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
A collaborative mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
