Role Overview:
As our Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing traded/resale goods, raw materials and packaging for our Australian business. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to ensure the procurement of high-quality products and packaging at competitive costs. You will also have the opportunity to participate in exciting projects that shape the future of our industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for sourcing and purchasing of traded/resale goods, raw materials and packaging materials.
Maintain an accurate and up to date list of traded products and packaging in SAP for pricing and freight.
Manage Suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards and claims management when required.
Work closely with internal teams to introduce new product, including identifying and developing new product supply sources.
Ensure purchasing activities comply with government regulations and Company guidelines, including Inventory Policy.
Manage inventory levels, freight and vendor performance.
What We’re Looking For:
Tertiary degree in business, commerce, supply chain or science, APICS certification or equivalent preferred.
SAP / data base working knowledge.
Demonstrated great numerical and negotiation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building and nurturing client relationships.
A strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and adapt accordingly.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
A proactive and motivated approach, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
A passion for creating positive client experiences and achieving outstanding results.
