The position specializes in operating and maintaining quad-axle dump trucks. Maintenance is handled by company mechanics. The role offers an annual income of $75,000+ with safety bonuses.
Responsibilities
Transport raw materials
Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical and safety issues; perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document mileage and retain fuel/toll receipts
Comply with trucking rules, regulations, and company policies
Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions
Verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Ensure compliance with applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Operate electronic equipment (GPS, AVL units, CB radios)
Drive long hours during busy seasons
Maintain a clean driving record
Adapt to unexpected situations (traffic, weather)
Willing to submit to background and drug checks
Possession of a valid Class B CDL is required; truck driving school certification is a plus
