Duties
- Coordinate vehicle dispatching using transportation management vehicle dispatch.
- Track fleet locations, optimize routes, and ensure on-time deliveries
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including shipping & receiving documentation
- Communicate with drivers and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional phone etiquette
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, delivery statuses, and internal communication for audit readiness
- Support logistics operations by analyzing transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in supply chain processes
- Managing expectations through effective phone call management and internal communication skills
Experience
- Proven experience in road transportation operations or logistics dispatching within a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning, freight management, and fleet coordination
- Familiarity with transportation management systems
- Experience working with GPS, GIS tools, vehicle tracking systems, and routing software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in data entry
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via phone calls, emails, and internal messaging platforms
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to vehicle dispatching and freight safety standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation purposes
- Ability to analyze operational data to support decision-making processes in logistics planning
