Role Purpose:
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for executing procurement activities as per Supply Chain procedures to ensure the timely supply of materials and services, optimize costs, minimize cycle time, maximize benefits, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1- On time supplies for material & services (for both industrial & non-industrial activities):
- Carry out procurement activities to ensure receiving materials and services on time according to planned demand date.
- Follow up and coordinate with freight forwarding companies to minimize logistics cycle time.
- Set & maintain appropriate parameters of stockable items to secure replenishment on time.
2- Optimize inventory level:
- Ensure inventory level of assigned purchases is kept under control and meets the target inventory turns to optimize working capital.
3- Logistics and transportation:
- Negotiate with freight forwarding companies to optimize logistics cost for inbound & outbound.
4- Vendors relationship:
- Ensure appropriate vendor selection and validation to maintain reliability of supplies.
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain best conditions in terms of price and delivery time.
- Prepare agreements / contracts with potential vendors to obtain better prices and terms.
- Carry out vendor evaluation process to continuously improve their performance index in terms of products quality and service quality.
5- Aligning with company policy and safety standards:
- Observe and ensure that all local legislation and company rules for Health and Safety are followed at all times.
6- Management Reporting:
- Prepare SAP Reports.
- Prepare Monthly Reports.
Necessary Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of 2~4 years of experience in related field.
Education and Certification Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong Oral and Written communication skills with management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and JIT methodology.
